Worldwide Art Cries Out for Cyprus

First Place and First Prize in two categories: 1) Project and 2) Student Video Spot of class D’2, 12th Public School of Ilioupoli, under the supervision of the educator, Mrs. Magdalini Mini, titled “Worldwide Art Cries Out for Cyprus”, at the 9th Official International Student Competition: Cyprus, Greece, Hellenism – Educational Bridges 2022-23, co-organized by the Directorate of Primary Education of Serres, the Ministry of Interior (Macedonia – Thrace), the Embassy of Cyprus in Greece – Cultural Office – House of Cyprus, and the Department of Educational Radio-Television and Digital Media of the Ministry of Education and Religions of Greece, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. K. Sakellaropoulou, and the then President of the Republic of Cyprus, N. Anastasiades.

The footage of the video was shot by the educator, Mrs. Mini, inside the classroom using simple means. The editing of the video and the musical composition were undertaken by the composer, Mr. Miran Tsalkian.
The goal of the students’ Video Spot – “Worldwide Art Cries Out for Cyprus” is to raise awareness of the Cypriot issue on an international scale, to sensitize the global community and opinion so that it is not forgotten, so that the martyred past and gloomy present of Cyprus do not remain closed in the history books, but also to prevent another heavy page from being written for Cyprus. To take a stand, to become active in events, and to contribute in our own way to the influence and progress of the modern history of Hellenism and humanity as a whole…
